Hey guys finally decided i would do something to my 800d i bought a while ago, so i went out, bought a dremel and got to work!

(I had a picture of my dremel but this will have to do instead :D)
Image

I have had a few ideas and decided to play with them -

Inspirations
I was surfing the web and found a few awesome looking mods and decided that i should have a go myself. The ones on the site 'Madebykier' are freakin' rediculous and is what i hope mine will eventually look like.

I absolutely love the straight tubing on this RoG mod and have found a supplier near me - i just need to by copious amounts of 90 degree adapters and Bits power Sli fittings.

Image

I was reading through a 700d mod by Kier and found this awesome idea of a fillport that covers the grill on the top of the case.(However Mine will be white with a black accent or vice versa).

Image

This is a great way to light the case, however i will try and make mine so it fully covers the mid plate (well what is left of it).

Image

Sketches

Hopefully you can make out what i am attempting.... I am going to remove the mid plate and drive bays in place of 2*360mm rads. I am alos going cut up the 5.25 inch bay so i am able to fit 1 fan controller up the top.(unless you guys have any other ideas of a way to fit in a fan controller). Was orginally going to use 2*480's but i already have a 360 and need hte space for the fan controller - its also cheaper ( as i am a uni studnet and saving $$ is everything!)

Image

Also The pump and rad area will be boxed in by white acrylic so they cannot be seen so i can use normal tubing in place of the straight acrylic tubing in these parts of the loop.

Image

This very basic sketch is clearer, and also has my idea for the loop order.

Going to go Rad > pump> 360mm rad > GPU > 360mm>Mobo > Cpu >Ram > Res...

This longer loop also helps in making the visible portion of the loop cleaner (ie acrylic tube bit) :D and if i get another GPU i can add it easily.

Hardware ($$ permitting)
Not entirely sure on what i am going to get
Processer : I7 3930 (expensive :( ) / i5 3570/ i5 2500k
Mobo : Evga Ftw z77 (when available in aus) / Evga x79 or Msi big bang 2
GPU : Gtx 680 (not sure :P)
HDD : 2tb
Ssd : 120gb (not sure on brand)
Ram : Firstly 2*8gb stick or a fast 4*4 set.

Watercooling
Will have fully cooled, including ram, mobo blocks etc. - hopefully will try and get a sponsor XP ( i wish - in an attempt to mitigate costs , but probably should make some head way on the case first!)

All i know is that i have to buy a ton of Bitspower Sli fittings and 90 degree adaptors.

Theme/Colour Scheme

I was thinking to have a predominately White/Black theme, with all white acrylic for the proposed case dividers and if i get an Evga motherboard i will have Red highlights (maybe in the sleeving). The Fittings would be black - however the waterblocks and res may either be black or Sliver, need to see what i like the best ;)

The Work Begins!

I did some work on the weekend before my uni exams start :/, and this is where i got to.

Image

i gutted the inside of the case - all the bits in this box. Let's just say the experience was Rivet-ing! :S

Image

Here is my case with a 360 rad in the front portion - PLenty of room above for the 1 drive bay i need. Width wise however though to fit 2 RX rads, one will have push/pull with 25mm's and the other will only have push.

I made a template of sorts for the sizing of a 480, placed it in and had little room to spare - i guess 2*360 is kind of overkill anyways tbh. Right?

Image

Anyways I also am thinking of scrapping the drive bay covers (as their not going to be used) and inserting a white acrylic face plate, which should complement the brushed aluminium on the front of the case. It also allows me to but a logo or design on the front if i need to.

Image
is the controller i want to use and should easily be able to cut holes in acrylic to fit over the dials.

Image.

.........

Here is my mid plate taped up ready to be cut so i can re-insert it to support the mobo tray and have the front area of the case free.
Image
(this isn't going to be seen in the end, as it will be covered by the lightbox midplate cover thingy)

My next step is to buy some acrylic - sort out dimensions and get the coverings/separators cut up and installed. Then i need to actually get my hardware and fittings etc so i can find places to cut holes in acrylic for tubing, and get the loop set-up. Also need to get sleeving (from mdpc as it is like AWESOME COLOURS) and start working on my PSU.

Ok I'm out - apologies for the Info dump :D

Ok long time no post!

I ordered all my gear and have nearly all of it (except some screws which i'll go get at bunnings and some other stuff in the post.)
There is some nondescript stuff shown in this photo as well such as : 3 pin power splitters, Rad holder brackets, a rad dust filter and Bitpower fan gaskets which i may use, that i had laying around.

Image

I ended up going for 2x7970's for my GPU's as i purchased a 3x u2410 eyefinity set-up.

Image

And placed heatkiller 79X0 GPU fullcover block + backplates on them

Image

Image

Packed away in their bag's :D.

Image

Also here is my RIVE, with koolance heat sinks + alphacool copper fittings.

Image

(the theme is White + Silver and Copper.)

hence the white tubing

Image

white ram

Image

and copper xspc raystorm block, which i actually lapped today - not mirror finish but close !

Image

I have some work to do on the case when i get the remainder of my stuff in the mail but should have this baby going very soon :D. My next hurdle is getting a shelf made of white acrylic made to cover the PSU and Pump area and creating a cover of white acrylic for the area of the Motherboard tray not concealed by the Rampage 4. I will have some pics up of the case when it is all done. I also need to get some PSU cable extenders as the Strider has short and hard to maneuver cables that are also unsightly and i couldn't be bothered trying to sleeve them with their funny endings, i am just deciding on the colour , but will probably go white - do you guys have any favourites/suggestions out of like bitfenix, ModSmart etc....

Oh and these are the final specs.

i7 3820 + Rampage Extreme 4
4x4 gb Low profile white corsair ram kit
2x XFX Black 7970's
1200w Strider PSU
120gb Corsair F3 SSD
2tb WD drive

Coolling:
All Copper XSPC Raystorm Cpu Block
2x Heatkiller 79X0 GPU blocks + Backplates.
Koolance Re4 Motherboard Heatsink kit.
2x RX360's
Koolance PMP + Mod Kit
Alphacool copper 3/8id 1/2 Od fittings & EK compressions fittings.
XSPC Rad fans (120/140mm)
Modded Corsair 800d

I've only been using my phone atm for the photo's , but once i get it all installed into the case i will take some higher resolution photo's with my mums Canon 600d

Also i ordered a 250mm EK multi Res, however i may use an Alphacool copper or Phobya Nickel res in place as it suits the theme better (ie Black vs Copper/Silver) so it may be coming up for sale in the near future; anyone interested?

Heay mate, if you haven't mounted them yet, could you do some more photos of the koolance motherboard block? Specifically the undersides. :)

Going to be a beastly build...

Sorry Jimbo i mounted them yesterday [or the day before?] :(..

Thanks Enzu - It's really not taking that much perseverance thb, i guess im just good at waiting :D. The hardest part so far was try to cut the case up with a dodgey hacksaw + a router that kept breaking the disks. (Pics incoming)

Anyways here are what i'm tossing up on for the resevoir.

Phobya Nickel (150 or 250mm)

Image

Alphacool Copper

Image

or stick with the EK multi i have atm..

Image

Will have some more pics tonight once my Camera charges [ >.>]
