case now supports:

mATX, ATX, SSI-CEB, SSI-EEB (E-ATX), HPTX and soon XL-ATX (I've finally found the exact holes spacing)

also added that big hole for dual cpu socket access and revised some small details.

added a little window on the other side panel just to show off some SSD's, hope you like it.

other updates soon :)

@viper1982: if I could give you my opinion, it would be this:

SolidWorks is great for modeling, SketchUP is great for rendering.

Rendering in SolidWorks is easy only if you use Photoview360 (the one I'm using right now) but it's a limited plugin. Not much material and environment to work with and very very poor lighting and reflection customization. Plus you can't change focus or camera distance/rotation and all those little effects, hence you end up with pretty render but far from perfect and absolutely not photorealistic.

There are some SolidWorks plugins, like Modo or Maxwell Render, Modo is super-fast and in my opinion better than Maxwell. Maxwell is slow, very slow and it takes ages just for rendering a screw. Both can render A LOT better than Photoview and have plenty of presets and options to work with. Sadly all those plugins or presets are not free and the other render softwares out there can work with SolidWorks but export/import is always a PITA and somethimes you'll encounter imperfections and a lot of issues.

SketchUP is great for rendering just because there are plenty of free and super nice plugins out there and you can simply download a plugin and try it. If you don't like it then you download another plugin and so on. Every plugin add something to SketchUP and you can come up with really awesome renders with very little effort and most important things, for free.

What I'm trying to say is that if you want to make a photorealistic render with SolidWorks you have to pay, while you can do it for free with SketchUP.

On the other hand, I would never use SketchUP for my custom case, 'cause SolidWorks is simply the best software for 3D modeling atm.

Anyway, I've also added XL-ATX support to the motherboard tray so I now have support for mATX, ATX, E-ATX, XL-ATX and HPTX.

It took ages but I finally got it. I already designed the front panel and I'm working on it atm.

When I'm done with the front panel I'll do the first prototype. And I can say for sure that this will happen really soon guys :)

best regards,

.::NeO::.
