how many watts do i need to run two gtx 580s??
will 850watts be enough

Ooops Didn't read correctly. Yes 850w will be enough for both but it depends on your other components. E.G Harddrive fans CPU. And it has to be a good quality power supply with a big 12v rail.

Not a big advantage, the AX has a Gold 80+ rating, whereas the HX has a Silver one

I would spend the extra $36 for a completely modular PSU. The HX if I'm not mistaken is only partially modular?
