The heatsink is a Thermalright 120 extreme, the packaging is from my thermalright true black 120, and yep those brackets should fit.

RESURRECTION!
i'm back from the dead! i've gone out of the scene a bit seeing as i finished my build i just lost interest, concentrating on actually using it haha
i did however, get a new screen, mouse, and desk mat inbetween.
Image
i'm REALLY happy with how it sits at the moment. BUT always room for improvement. by that i mean i'm getting a mate that does year12 woodwork to build my a whole new desk :D :D it's planned to be an L shape that goes where the you can see the couch is (see previous photos) and down beside the window to where the current desk ends. it's going to be MASSIVE in my tiny little room

and to put some more perspective on it, here is how my room sits, it's going to take up the couch, although not that deep, from wall to bed, then down to pretty much where my current desk ends.

I would make sure you get the exact desk height you want. Maybe get a new chair if it time before you have it built. Just make sure it can at least fit a filing cabinet under it for storage. I would also pay attention to the finish you put on. Youll want something to stand the test of time. I would also make sure to round off the leading edge of the desk top. Wont dig into you wrist if your arm is hanging off. Also riku's idea of the rounded " corner " is a great idea. Will give you more work space, and not force you to being on either side of a 90 degree angle. You could sit right in the middle . Maybe at least 45 the inside corner where you sit. Would serve the same purpose, just not as soft. I could go on for a while, but will save you the.

Looking good so far man. Keep up the good work.
